Wow...It has been a long time since I have last written anything in my blog. It's been months and months. As it stands there really is nothing for me to write about. No major catastrophes occurring; no problems arising; no challenges waiting. I am still working @ Avenue Rd. and St. Germain. The entire transition has been smoothed out. It is almost like butter. Everyone is good, no problems or quandaries to solve, currently.
The holidays are almost upon. I have had a hell of a time finding presents for people. To be frank, I am not completely finished just yet. I have spent so much money thus far and have yet to spend so much more. I still haven't figured out what to get Julia or Lawrence for Christmas; I have to pick out Cecilia's present(s) in the next few days; and I know Mara and I agreed on no presents but what kind of Christmas would it be if I didn't get her something.
Along with Christmas comes New Year's. I am looking forward to attending a party this coming New Year's Eve or celebrating it downtown for the countdown to 2-double O-9. A black tie affair would be real nice but I don't think I know enough individuals to guarantee me an invite to one of those. Not this year, anyways. Plus, I would not even have a date. There is this one girl but so far nothing. She has not returned a single call and returned only 1-2 of my texts. I think that I should just give up. She's a very nice girl but if she's not interested then what's the use, right?
Well, the year is coming to a close and I am ready to start a new one. This last year was full of surprises and, now, disappointments, but what kind of life would it be if there were none, no? Until tomorrow, or the next time I write...
