What is new? Not much, really. It was my day off today, this Tuesday the 31st of March in the year 2009, which is nice because it breaks my week up quite nicely. I have 2 opens happening this week, tomorrow morning and Friday morning, which, considering the alternatives, are not bad to have. It at least allows me to be able to leave early enough to do something. But more on that later.
Today was a "do nothing" kind of day. My coworker, Calvin, came early this afternoon and picked me up so that we could go to Sherway Gardens all the way on the lower west side of the city. It was a nice mall, full of nice shops and boutiques, and it wasn't overly crowded because it was, after all, Tuesday. Went to Abercrombie and Fitch, the Apple Store, EB Games, and Tommy Hilfiger. It was a nice break from the Yorkdales and Eaton Centres that we visit all the time.
Though the interior of the mall was nice, the exterior certainly needed some work. Granted, it was still early in spring and many plants and flowers have yet to bloom but you think the mall might have done some outdoor renovations to make it more appealing to the people passing by in their vehicles. Alas, money is hard to come by and so beautification would have to wait.
Other than going to Sherway Gardens, I didn't really do much. My sister and father had started to paint my brother's room and so I joined in late in the afternoon. We were able to clean the walls and apply the first coat of paint but ran into a few problems with air bubbles due to the quality of the previous paint covering the walls. Hopefully, we'll get that fixed sometime soon.
For now, I have to go try to get a little bit of sleep before my time to go to work comes up. If I come up with anything to gripe and complain about tomorrow, I will. If not, then don't expect me to visit for a few days...
